(Not sure if this should be here or in Brewster's Cafe) This has happened to me recently. Over the summer, I went to play Pokemon: Conquest, and I had done a lot of the side quests you get after completing the main story. I couldn't find it, and got upset, but still wanted to play the game. So I went up to gamestop and buy a second used copy, and begin playing. The next day, I find the old cartridge hiding in with all of my old pokemon figures. I got really mad, because I bought the new copy, but also excited, because I found all of my old save data!
Me too friend. As said before, This is the only game I've ever lost and I got really mad at myself and make absolute sure to put my games back in my game cartridge case now XD
i'm glad you found it!! it almost happened to me. I left one of my games sitting around one time and couldn't find it for nothing, but turns out my dad hid it to teach me a lesson q-q
I bought New Leaf when it came out and played it all summer and lost it around September of last year.
I waited a year, decided it was gone forever and bought another New Leaf copy. Just a few weeks after buying the new copy, my boyfriend found my old copy and I was sooooo maaaaad.
The game was stuck in the bottom of my weird DS carrying case that I checked in A THOUSAND times when I lost it. I was happy he found it, but so angry I never found it sooner. It had been over a year.
When I went to play Majora's Mask for the first time, I asked my brother where it was and he couldn't find it, so I wound up ordering it from Amazon. He found it a couple months after I beat the game, so now I have two copies.
I almost lost my Pokemon Black once, and I was so sad because that was my main game fore Gen V and it contained my Gen V Event collection. I did not really plan to get another copy though since a friend of mine gave me his since he wasn't using it anymore before I supposedly lost mine. I did eventually found it the next day though. I was so reliefed.
This describes exactly what I've done with so many games. Mario kart for 3ds, The Sims 3, Left 4 Dead, Animal Crossing, and god the list goes on. I am not wise with money. I used to get so many at myself, but considering it happens so much now I don't even care.
Almost! I lost my game of Pokemon Platinum and was about to go buy a new one, but right when I was about to leave, I found it right on one of my TV speakers.
I lost my first copy of Left 4 Dead 2. I re-bought it, then it turned out it was in my brothers room.
Smashed.
Scratches and chips everywhere.
So I was lucky I bought a new copy in the end.
No, I've put way too many hours into my games to get careless with them. If a game's not in the console, it's in a case, or on the shelf in it's proper place.
A friend of mine lost one of her Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games, bought a replacement cartridge, then found her original game in her closet less than a week later.
So as a kid, I got a GameBoy Colour, Wario Land 3, and Ms. Pac Man. After a few months Wario Land 3 went missing and I was quick to blame one of my cousins as they'd taken things before.
Now this was... about 15 years ago or so.
I bought a copy of Wario Land 3 a few years ago on a whim because I loved it as a kid. It surprisingly aged pretty well for an old game. Beat it, loved it, fantastic game.
Now a few months ago I was moving into my first apartment. While going through some old stuff in the garage, I found my old copy of Wario Land 3, lost a decade and a half before. It was in a bucket of lego. Via the miracle of old gameboy backup devices I transferred my save from my newer copy to it, and sold the newer copy.
Sadly can't say I've ever done this. Most of my games I keep dear to me so I would keep them on shelves, specific bags for GC stuff and the like.
Though I've definitely or more than likely lost a game or two, but never really bought it again probably due to my ocd of finishing games from start to end in a sitting or two. *thank god i've never played skyrim*
