Ever been scammed?

I'm sorry this has happenend but sadly its not that unusual.
I don't wifi with other players, can't stand the stress, but also in arranging times to suit us both, and finding the time at all really.
Two things - when I have had players in town - I can't keep up with them, they disappear off screen in a milli second - and they are not running - just walking over wifi seems to make you go off screen very fast.
So its difficult to impossible (for me at any rate) to keeep tabs on a player unless they stay by my side the whole time.

Being paid: I know its possible via R-tail but don't know the max you can put up per space. And it doesn't appear in your a/c until the next day.

Comes down to trust, and sadly its so easy to take things in another persons game and think it no big deal when in reality it is a big deal. It definitely is if you cost your time in getting your town as you want it.

The maximum in retail is 999,999 bells. And you could always TT if you're impatient

Yea I used to always trust, I gave a negative rating for the second person for not paying me, but they gave me a positive one HOURS later when they finally paid. They got mad that I gave a negative and I'm like "I waited 40minutes as you looked at forums, then you log off and never pay, what am I supposed to think?" I messaged them saying since they paid I'll contact a mod to get the rating off, which I did, and the person basically replied for me to shut up and they were totally rude. I should have left the rating imo... Waste of my time waiting and getting the rating removed. I'm not a mean person, just been scammed before and don't feel like waiting days to get my payment and should not have to! I also don't like when people make an offer with you and you accept while they go and make another order within the same time frame where they can't afford both. Usually they'll cancel with me or the other person if that's the case. Usually it wastes my time getting the stuff ready just for them to cancel. (I totally understand if it's been an hour or longer maybe even 30 minutes) In your case, that's worse, accepts both offers and doesn't cancel so one doesn't get paid. So low.

I try my best to pay first, but I'll never keep people waiting for a payment. You also don't deserve that negative rating!

Sometimes there are some new members just learn how to trade in game, and maybe they are too excited, so after they got staff and forgot to pay, usually I will PM them once, and move their PM to my new PM Folder(for those who haven't paid yet), usually they will pay me a bit later, it's ok... But only this time that person scammed me, and still saying it's my mistake, so funny

Luckily this website is full of the nicest players. I've never been scammed and hope I won't be in the future. But was it really necessary to make another thread about 'have you every been scammed'? There is already one with over 30.000 views I think at it's still active.

I don't know if this really counts, but some time ago I got offered one of my dream villagers for 500 btb. I had no idea what btb was worth, but I've since seen villagers like Marshal and even Ankha go for less- like 100-200 btb! I wish I had saved by forum bells for something else. ; - ;
Maybe they didn't realise their pricing was expensive, because they seemed like a nice person but I have no idea.

To make matters worse, I took a hiatus from the game and he moved out of his own accord a few months later... </3

Yeah, before I reset I had an incident where I was waiting on Kapp'ns boat for the rest of them and this one guy took my lovely hybrid roses, he left me some though.

It helps to always keep your finger on the wifi switch! Any weird behavior and I end. It might just be a game but it's also a lot of time and effort. You don't want to lose that! Thieves have no idea how much work breeding hybrids actually is.

The only time I got "scammed" he took one or 2 flowers, so they were easily replaced. otherwise I normally don't let people outside of my train station.
I am very protective of my town

surprisingly, i've never been scammed before. this one time, though, my little brother's island friend came over and stole 2 red carnations (the only carnations i had at the time), but i quickly noticed. i asked for the 3DS, my little brother gave it to me, and i asked the guy to put them back. luckily, he did and i ended the session before he could do anything else.

Most of the people (if not all) on my roster have been added from this website. Everyone has been honest, respectful, and decent so far.

The worst that I have experienced is dry beggars, but I've become pretty good at navigating them.
