hello everybody!

i believe this is my first post here, and I am here to ask you how much you would be willing to pay (in bells) for my chibi art/frontal face anime-moe. due to me needing house upgrade-/public work projects bells, and HATING beetle/stag hunting, i am considering to sell some drawings! (also, because i am procrastinating at the moment.. who needs semester finals ;3;)

i was thinking about drawing oc's, mayors and villagers!

chibi:

(i did this... today. it is a chibi of my mayoral character. i don't usually do chibis, but i thought about starting. the commissioned art would have better resolution, this was mostly an attempt to find my style)

frontal anime face:

(commissioned frontal anime faces would probably not be just as good, i put down a lot of time on this)

THERE'S A POST FURTHER DOWN WHERE I POST A MORE REALISTIC, PERSONAL ARTSTYLE

your style is cute regarding the second pic, i like how you color. you really need to up the ante on chibis if you want people to buy them, though. im sure once you find a style for them youll get the hang of it though. :)

oh. i just read that the second isnt standard quality for you? did you mean by how its colored? if so, then youll need to put more details into the lines, imo.

well yes, it's mostly because i put down a lot of time on it : ) or, i do that on most things i do, mostly because i am slow at everything i do... the resolution of the chibi-picture is not as good because of drawing on small space/resizing a lot

ah, shirohibiki, i didn't see your post! but i think i explained it, i don't usually do anime-style anymore (so i'm not really sure at what speed i can do a picture of the same quality... ) but i think that's what i can draw consistently, and it's fairly fun : )

i was mostly thinking about chibis though, what could be done better? the clothes look amateur-ish but i thought that was charming so i was like yeah whatever, but maybe it is just me

The anime face i am in love <3 it looks wonderful! And the chibi to be honest it looks very good but needs improving! Aside from that you art is super cute :D

wolfie! thank you! (and to everyone else too) :3
but i am wondering what a reasonable price would be? clearly, the chibi needs improvement, but the digital anime-headshots?

and, i would also like to hear what you consider needs improvement with the chibi! the lines, the colouring/shading, the proportions, the resolution? everything?

I like the chibi! >< more than the moe thing anyway XD; I don't know about pricing but I'm sure people would pay a small amount for either!

If you do a different style why don't you post a picture of that? People might like it more and it might look better if you're more comfortable with it ^^

i ADORE the colors in the chibi so they are fine to me, the only thing im just not sure of is just the lines look a bit wobbly >< also it looks a bit blurry. The shading, colors, proportions all look fine! Just the lines leave me undecided

The chibi i think should be 2-3 million
The headshots: 4-6 million in that area

Some may have better pricing opinions but this is just by what i've seen and all ^^!

olivizza: thank you! ^3^ this was really encouraging, i thought about it too! but i just kind of imagined that anime-style was what animal crossing-players preferred, but i'm going to post my current artworks, see if other people besides me likes it and think about it! because it is true, i do enjoy my own style more

wolfie: wow, thank you! and i do agree with your critique! at first, i was a little bit insecure about those "that chibi needs lots of improvement..", because i thought you guys were referring to other things besides the problems i had already stated. and woah such a highly assessed selling price?? i thought it was around 500k - 1 million maximum hahahah ;3;

ok, i photographed with my webcam and the quality is ****ty (they look far better irl) but i don't want to wake up my whole family using the scanner that sounds like a machine monster! i prefer depicting women, with crappy watercolors (they cost like 2 cheeseburgers), graphite pencils/ink:

LOVE your watercolor art!
Realistic art is so much more unique and beautiful.
I would definitely pay for some of your realistic art if you could scan it!

As for your anime styled, they look gorgeous as well.
There will be people asking for them if you decide to sell them, lol.

I'm going to say the anime style would be around 4-5mil.
I'm not sure about chibis, since I don't dig them much.
And the watercolor, I don't know either.
You'll probably have to scan them first to get a proper price range.

wow, your regular style is FAR better. stick with that one. dont push yourself to do a style just because you think itll please other people. art is for yourself first and foremost. screw other people. use your regular style; it suits you much better.

woah, thank you everybody! i think i agree with enjoying what i do and make something that feels natural to me would be the best, so i am going to stick with that : ) i appreciate all comments, feedback and value assessing here, so really, thank you!
