Escalator or elevator?

You're in an EXTREMELY crowded mall, and you need to get to floor 2. You can take the EXTREMELY crowded escalator that's slow from weight, or an elevator with some space, but 2 EXTREMELY obese people are also waiting for it, and the elevator is EXTREMELY weak and might snap anytime. Which would you choose?
