error code 018-0512 HELP!

So i was gonna visit my friend just before and that error code and he tryed to come to my town and he got the same error code! Plz help!!

Its just a little error thingy to do with the internet. Reboot your animal crossing, if that doesn't work, reboot your 3ds, and if that doesn't work, well, something might be wrong with either your internet or your friends.

Well this happened to me, but I wasn't able to play with anyone online on any game. I looked up the code and it told me the issue so i followed the instructions and put my 3ds in a DMZ which I don't even know what that is but it fixed the problem. I don't know if you're experiencing the same problem because you have connect before where as I wasn't ever able to connect. Try going to someone else's town other than your friends and see if the problem is still there. It might just be a bad connection between the two of you.

Some connections are incompatible. It was has happened to me a few times while trading where I can't trade with a specific person no matter how many times we try. In the end one of us always has to go to a McDonald to get a different connection/be able to play with each other. Though if you have a smart phone you can use it as a Hotspot and it should be able to let you trade
