I have a question though, if I have someone new moving in tomorrow (just restarted so I've been getting a new villager every couple days, plot is down and everything), would I still be able to invite him?

I am not sure. Is there a a new plot in your town?

There is, the plot is there but the actual villager won't be in until tomorrow.
Perhaps we could still give it a try anyway, and if it doesn't work, refund it?

You can still invite people in if you just have the plot itself. You just cant invite if you have 10 total, ex 9 villagers and a plot. I've invited people in with just a plot down plenty of times.
