Endorsement for Chadder?

I've woken early today and started by digging up my fossils and watering the flowers, and on my pass to the southeast of town... saw there is a tent up in the camping site.

Entering the tent I was greeted by a mouse named Chadder. He's definitely no Lyman. But it has me thinking. See, I have nine villagers now:

Olivia the Cat
Lobo the Wolf
Elmer the Horse
Ed the Horse
Anciotti the Mouse
Rocket the Gorilla
Camofrog the Frog
Maple the Bear
Pierce the Eagle

Now, I'm looking for a final villager to run out and Fulton. However, I am unsure if it should be Chadder. See, I do like only having one of each kind of animal in the town, which is why I wasn't that impressed when Ed threw up his house (Elmer was here from the start, so that's his excuse). But in the same breath, they are very different personalities at least, which I think would grate me more. So maybe that is overlookable. But I am unsure if I have any of Chadder's personality, or Chadder himself in general. So I come to ask the question:

If you had my roster of villagers, what would you yourself do?

I would not pick him from the campsite just in case your dreamies show up days after

If you're unsure about it, then maybe just let him go, and wait for someone you really like.

Chadder is a smug villager like Ed,who you already have.So since you have Ed and Anicotti,another mouse,perhaps you should pass on Chadder and wait for a different villager.

Thanks for everyone's advice, I appreciate it. I'm still new here, and trying to learn what is what. Like, I have a field of yellow and orange roses, but I don't know if that's worth anything. And terms are still new, trying to get my head around them.

I personally am a fan of Chadder, who is one of my villagers! But yeah if you already have a mouse and somebody smug he might be a bit redundant. Felt like I had to endorse him though because he put in a public works project request for Stonehenge the other day, which I really wanted for my town. So Chadder is totally on my A-list this week, haha!
