Encounters at Club Tortimer

Talk about your CT encounters with people. I've had some good, weird, bad and funny moments there.

Just the other day I went to the island and there was some Japanese person. They kept throwing money at the floor and saying 'kisu' every minute. They threw over 120k bells and I just left. You can't even kiss in ACNL so I don't really get what the person was going for.

Another time I went to the island and the was someone with a blue rose and the person had a kind heart and gave me it, he also gave me his FC and gave me 7 more blue roses. Lucky me.

What experiences have you had?

Once when I went to the international island, there was one other person there and the first thing that he said when I came in was "American? Dull." I laughed so hard after that.
There was another time when I was there with a Japanese girl who didn't speak any English, so we just ended up doing emotions at each other for like 5 minutes. It was pretty great.
My favorite experience on Club Tortimer was when I had an in-depth conversation with a random person about what the best Legend of Zelda game is.

Oh, I have one! Earlier, I went to this island with someone who wanted to swap stuff; mainly my crown. They wanted to swap their glasses for my crown, and it seemed like they wanted me to drop first since their thing wasn't on the ground. I thought I was going to get their wig (the hair bow wig), and I had no problem with giving them my crown just to be nice; but it seemed like they just wanted to take the crown and give nothing in exchange xD

What I ended up doing was picking up a coral, grabbing a shovel, and burying it without them seeing what it was.. So it could appear to be the crown and distract them while I made an escape with a tour.. xD
(I didn't want to pull the wifi switch as there was a cabana item I needed there)

And Nintendo shuts off spotpass for Swapnote but leaves things like Cub Tortimer and Wii U Chat.

I get a lot of people demanding that I give them my crown.

One girl kept dropping 2,000 bells on the floor and saying 'Give crown plz' and when I said no and apologized she just kept dropping 100 bells and saying 'CROWN. NOW!' and when I still said no she accussed me of bullying. So when someone else arrived she told them I was bullying an 8 year old, which resulted in stern words from the newcomer. I just left, it really wound me up to be honest -.-

I met a girl from Japan, and we didn't speak each other's language. So, we ended up communicated through emotions! I started by picking out a tour, and she sat down on one of the chairs so we both went on it. When we got back, she sat down again. It was hard to communicate to her I wanted to switch off picking. I went by the tour counter and waved, then sat down for a bit. She understood, and so we went back and forth doing tours for a while! I did the sad emotion and waved when I had to leave. It was really fun even though we didn't speak the same language!

I met a girl from France, and we were having fun doing tours. And then some jackass joined just to flip his wifi switch and I was back on my dock. One of my villagers later mentioned that she had visited my town in a dream, which was nice.

I met another girl from Belgium who spoke no English, and she ran up to me doing the crying emotion when I was talking to Leilani. I was only picking a tour! We had fun, but when she went back to beetle hunting, I left.

Finally, I did a dive tour with some guy, and he started cursing me out when I caught more than him. I don't need that, so I flipped my wifi switch. I was instantly pissed, because I had finally purchased a striped wetsuit. It had saved. I was then only sorry I hadn't blocked him.

I'm happy some people have had good experiences with CT. I seem to only have bad ones.

Well, I only had one good one with a girl from Japan. She couldn't speak English well but it was good enough that I could understand her. We had a good chat before she left.

I was doing a tour with someone and then 2 other people joined and played some tours with us, we did the hammer tour and got 200+ hits. Very fun to do tours with 4 players .

I saw met someone who just joined and destroyed everything, axed all the trees, destroyed all flowers and bushes and then left .

I have only been a handful of times with relatively uninteresting encounters, though one of the players I met threw down a box of chocolates then left.

Most of my encounters have been negative. Seriously, some weird people and beggars out there. Mostly beggars. Why is it ok for you to ask for, literally, the clothes on my back?

But most of the time, I'm there alone. I'm just there to see if there are exclusives anyway.

Same here. Speaking of which, there was this one time where someone was pretending to be poor... They were barefoot, and were wearing the patchy hat/pants/shirt. It was kinda funny to be honest They kept asking for 100k lol.

I asked a guy if I could catalog his blue plaid fedora once. I had never seen it and it was awesome. He let me, and now I wear it all the time.

I did drop down a couple thousand bells for his trouble.

I usually just go, see if I want to buy anything and leave, but once a couple girls tried to trap me there. I flipped the switch pretty fast. XD;

I went to this one island once, and these two people were there.. they acted all nice and stuff, then started a tour. Just as I was about to sit down, at the same time they both said, "sorry you're ugly". Then, the boat for the tour departed (without me lol).

That was pretty hilarious ... well, to me anyway.

I had a CT encounter that was weird a while,ago.

I was at the island then some girl came and asked me if I wanted to smell her underwear...

It's was pretty weird, I had an item that was pretty rare so I didn't want to flick the wifi switch so I was going to leave but she said to smell or else... People,on CT these days. Seriously how does one 'smell' in ACNL?

When I was there once this girl asked to buy my hair bow wig for 10k. I said sorry, but no, and she started doing the crying emotion. Then she asked to try it on. I said OK, so we went outside, and I dropped it on the ground. Surprise surprise, she ran straight back into the hut with it on.

I followed her inside. She talked to Leilani. I waited until I saw the sad emotion that meant that she was going home, and at the very last moment I flipped the WiFi switch.

I think it's awful that people try to steal items. It's Animal Crossing! I still go to CT, and most of my experiences have been positive. But there's always a few of those players.
