Empty lamp?

I was running around in AC:CF, and I came across and empty lamp. It looks like a Genie Lamp almost. Anyways, has anyone ever seen this before? And if so, what does it do? >_<

If your on Ac the night you find that lamp you might run into a ghost called whisp. give his lamp back and he will give you something nice. i think thats what it dose

Oh okay, cause I remember Whisp was in the Gamecube one and he appeared at like 2:00 AM or something and you had to catch these spirits. I'll hold on to it, thank you for the information.
