Emma Watson

She's such an amazing woman. So inspiring and a wonderful, wonderful role model for younger people.

I've just seen this on tumblr which is 100000% true for me

"Ron Weasley gives free ice cream to kids. Harry Potter talks about the importance of feminism and gay rights. Hermione Granger is a UN Goodwill Ambassador for Women.

The heroes of my childhood became the heroes of my adulthood."

Gotta admire any celebrity or person in the spotlight who tries to do some good with their star power. I know, it's easy to get cynical and say, hey they are seeking good press or it's a PR stunt on their part, but still, if it highlights a problem or brings attention to an issue, that's always good. You can just as easily do nothing but go shopping and go clubbing at night, but some stars choose not to do that. Good for Emma. :)

I just really admire the fact that she sees this as her responsibiliy.

If not me, who? If not now, when?

I might truely start living by those words. And I completely agree, I love seeing my childhood heroes becoming just as amazing as they were in their movies.

And I love how I've heard so much more about this then the 'nude photos' thing about Emma. I know they were a hoax. But I just love how much more important this speech was, and how it's recognized.

She's an inspiration to me, and I hope an inspiration to many other people out there. There are so many wonderful points about her other than the fact that she's an active feminist. She's beautiful, kind hearted, has class, and is educated. A true role model.

okay.. i see where this is going

I love how she made it about how me need to improve things for both men and women. I know women are worse off on the whole (especially countries where they have almost no rights), but we need to recognise that we need change for both genders.

I also agree with her definition of feminism. Some feminists make it about how amazing women are, but what it's really about is that they should be the same as men, and have the same rights. This is much more to the point than just talking about how great females are, and raging at men who don't agree.

If not me, then who? If not now, then when? That is going in my signature RIGHT NOW.

I find Emma Watson to be amazing.

When we see how bad an influence some stars are, it makes me wonder where society is going... Like promoting marijuana, alcohol etc....

She has graduated from Brown university (if I am correct) for English language/literature (forgot which one) she did studies even though she didn't have to, she is an excellent role model, and I seriously respect her so much.

She's wonderful, she's exactly what feminism needs right now and just such an inspiration. What a perfectly balanced, emotional, logical and inspirational speech!

She finished her education because she comes from a poor family. Her father had to pull a lot of strings simply to put her through school, so she knew how important her education was to him and it became important for her.

I hope that this campaign can bring some much needed change to the world. Sadly there will still be the feminazis yelling about inequality, not looking at the facts. That's the one downside to this whole thing.

But yes, the whole man-hating stance should be left behind and we should look at each other as human beings, not as male or female, white or black.
