In September 2008, Kernell did a little research and some guesswork to answer security questions and gain access to Palin's personal email account. At the time, published reports had questioned whether the then-Alaska governor had improperly used her personal email to conduct official business.

I think that is wrong, Sarah Palin is just such an idiot to have easy recovery questions, they should have been like "What was your favorite book when you were ____?" Well, that is considering her ever reading a book.

If you read, his layer had said that this was a college prank more then "hacking". And she did use a regular @yahoo.com email then a government email to do her work.

Nevermind. Lets forget about what I said in that post. I horribly confused myself.

So much wrong, I don't even know where to begin.

First off, why does he get 20 years? That will virtually destroy a good chunk of his life, when burglars, and people who brutally murder animals get much shorter sentences. Second of all, Sarah Palin should've actually made a secure account. Durr herf derp. Besides, this wasn't a malicious crime, just a prank. I love how persuaded the jury was by her fame. You think if John Smith got his email hacked, the court would even give a hell, let alone give the hacker 20 years in prison?

Third of all, she's an idiot, so I don't feel bad for her. In fact, this guy's my hero.
