Editing Screenshots WITHOUT Waifu2x?

Hello friends! After more than a year haitus from Animal Crossing, I have recently returned to the game. I would like to start posting about my towns again, but alas my old methods of taking nice screenshots are no more. R.I.P Miiverse.
I used to use the waifu2x website to edit as well, but I am finding it awful now that there's a paid version of the tool. I'm not sure if it's just me, or if others have issues working with it now.

Regardless, I need a new option, and am wondering if anyone has any alternatives?

Lol I'm an old .... and just use Microsoft paint for everything xD

Theres a waifu app that i use that i use. It works amazingly. The icon is an anime girl in a beret. I run my screenshots through that then smooth out the edges with a smudge brush in the sketchbook app.

Then I've heard of people using photoshop element 9 and further reducing noise. I've also heard of photo editing apps like snow and other sites like gimp but I haven't tried those myself.

One is called waifu2x, i just think theres more than one version. The other is called sketchbook, the logo is a pencil on a red background. And thank you hehe.
