Thanks everyone! To the other user: yes, just used QR codes to manipulate them. If you look at my town, it is HEAVILY covered in QR codes. The town itself, visually, is kind o meant for that look (candy gumdrop pink themed). This would not have worked with Thistle, my natural town, which has zero qr codes.
Most of them weren't that bad actually! I cycled through ten days at a time and waited for villagers to move out naturally, and when they did I immediately blocked off their houses and opened up a new space. There were only one or two that required a significant amount of plot resetting, and even then I'd say it was 50 times max? There were a few points in the day where I said "screw it, I'm leaving it" and would stop, play a few days normally, and then say "OKAY I AM READY AGAIN" and start plot resetting. The new update and amiibos really help!
Now, I am starting to fill up my town with PWPs, and the actual QR codes I want to be permanent, and I won't be leaving anything up to chance that's for sure. VIGILANCE :O
im doing the same thing! the trick works way better than plot resetting as long as you have your dreamie amiibo cards and some place-holder cards. i already have 5 villagers where i actually want them to be bless nintendo for this but they honestly could have made this easier
This is amazing! I would have tried doing the same thing if I didn't already have all my villagers before the update, lol. But it must have taken so much patience! Congrats!
