Easiest way to get the ocean sunfish?

I think I missed the season/time when the ocean sunfish was out but I still need it for my encyclopedia. Is there a particular month and time of day that it's easiest to find? I know it would be easier during the day since none of the sharks are out.

also idc about having to tt so if I have to go back to June or whatev that's fine w me.

I don't think there's a difference in this game between months or anything- if a fish/bug is available in a given month, it's available. If it's not, it's not. Some fish are rarer than others, but the rarity doesn't vary by seasons (with the exception of maybe having less "competition" in what you might fish up)

Honestly, it sounds like you're just having some rotten luck. Just keep trying to find one during their available times and you SHOULD eventually find one.

July, August, September anytime between 4am to 4pm should be the best time. The other sharks won't be available until 4pm.

I had a hard time finding one too. I finally got my first sunfish on fin island during the day when most sharks weren’t available.
