I personally find it creepy and I don't know if anyone can confirm it is truly another but a strange coincidence.

Giygas kind of looks like a fetus on an ultrasound. With that being said, he looks somewhat like a fetus in MOTHER 1. So, I don't believe he was made to obscurely look like a fetus, moreso how he looked like previously, which looked like a fetus.
