Well, it's telling me I can only participate the day after purchasing something via the eShop. I guess that means I can't participate. Either that or it's because I don't have that specific version of the Wii U. I got mine with The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, and not New Super Mario Bros. U.

As long as it's the deluxe 32gb model, it should be working. Of course, you have to have made some purchases from the eShop, i.e., download games, or register games and take the surveys at club nintendo. Or, at least, that's what I did. I got he Zelda: Wind Waker version too but, again, I also purchased lots of games and also took the survery via club nintendo.
