Anyone else think that EA's customer service sucks?
Basically what happened is that I lost my Sims 3 University Life disc. Before, I was able to make the change with EA and make it a digital download so that I wouldn't need the disk to play. Well. That didn't happen this time.
The person starts off the conversation like normal, asking what the problem was, then telling me that they will "do their best to fix it". So after that, they asked for my name. I was like "Gabriella" but whatever; that's happened before.
"Hi Gabriella how are you"
Well how do you think I am I can't play the game I've been waiting weeks to play -.-
So I replied, "I'm okay. I'm just upset about the game."
Many minutes of silence later, they ask for my product key. I give it to them. Then they're like, "can you give me just a few minutes?"
"Sure"
More silence and many minutes later,
"I just need a few more minutes."
Afterwards, I check the game when they told me to. Still need the disk.
"I still need the disk."
"No, you shouldn't need the disk. Try it again."
I still need the disk. I try 3 more times.
"Still need the disk."
"Okay, give me a moment."
Like, 5 more minutes later..
"You need to uninstall the game, reinstall it, then clear your cache. Let me know when you do so."
Sims games take like 10 years to install, so I had no plans on that BS. Plus, I have Sims in university. Wouldn't it ruin their game file and progress? So I ask that. Their reply?
"Alright so once that's done, clear your cache."
No help like always. I close out the conversation because they were just not helpful. Like, come on, EA. Not the first time I've had a bad issue like this either. I could tell like 6 more stories (okay maybe 4) but you know.. long posts? No one reads them.
How do you guys feed about EA as a company and/or their customer service?
