The Electronic Entertainment Expo is only a few weeks away and as it approaches we wonder what'll come of the big three. Will Sony give us a solid release date of Home? Will Mircosoft drop the price of the Pro version in order to better compete with the sales of the Wii? Will Nintendo finally announce some sort of hard drive? Let me take you through my E3 predictions.
Wii HardDrive
Don't get your hopes up.
While a few weeks back we saw that Nintendo had a job posting for someone who could "test plan for Wii's USB devices." While I'm sure that hints at hard drive, it could be anything. Keyboard for the possible Animal Crossing MMO or more peripherals. I'm sure that there would be no one complaning if Nintendo did reveal a storage solution but for now we'll just have to listen to the "geeks" and "otaku".
360 Price Drop
You never know.
While Mircosoft claims that Nintendo isn't their competition, they're urking over the fact Nintendo passed them. This E3 will be one where Mircosoft will need to step up to the plate to get back on top if they are going to. We've already seen a rumor that the Pro edition of the 360 will be dropping down to $299 in order to compete with the Wii. They could also release a new package like the arcade but call it the "We're better than Nintendo" package.
Rock Band 2
100% Confirmed.
The game has already been announced and will premiere at E3. So what do I expect from it? Harmonica and Banjo as new instruments.
Kid Icarus for Wii
No duh!
IGN obviously knows something. They've been hinting at the game for months now, and it'd be a huge let down if it wasn't there. We've seen leaked concept art and more. Plus Pit wasn't in Brawl for filler. If he was, then shame on you Nintendo. Shame on you.
Playstation Home
The beta for Home has been extended!
How long have we been in beta? Stop showing off how amazing Home could be, just release it already!
Spore
Prepare to be more jealous.
Come on Will! Just bump the game to release in August... No July! I'm sure that Spore will be playable at E3 and we'll get tons more videos and hands-on impressions to make us more jealous. For now go back to your little Creature Creator and make more game controllers and Pokemon.
So that's all I have for what I expect from E3 and I'm sure there will be tons more to make it more enjoyable. While I won't be around for the expo, I'll be watching all of the conferences and videos when I get back at the end of the month. _________________________________________________What do you expect from E3 this year? Do your expectations match mine?
