Am I able to turn of e-mail notifications for when I get a pm and such?

Ok, took me a long time originally to find this...
Click on Settings at the top of each page next to "log out."
Scroll down to "My Settings" in the left column, then click on General Settings under the My Account Heading.
In General Settings scroll down to Private Messaging in the right hand column. You will see "Email Notification of New Private Messages." Click on the "Don't receive" choice. Whew!

It's possible to turn off e-mail notifications by heading to Settings, then General Settings found a bit further below from the My Account tab. Look for the "Email Notification of New Private Messages" section in this page, and you should be able to toggle that on/off.
