Dumpster diving diaries -- what are some of the coolest things you found in the recycling bin?

Honestly nothing super memorable but my girlfriend got the unique broken glasses item which I'm pretty sure you can wear haha

Molly left an antique dresser when she moved out.

I just checked and found a green dolly (now I have 3 different colors... creepy). Usually it's just filled with boxes unless someone just moved out though.

i found a purple starry garland after judy moved out (in my first file which was erased), a palm tree lamp left by audie when she moved out, a pink shell arch left by june when she moved out

woooww I've had loads of villagers move out via amiibo (at least 10-15) and I've found nothing cool yet. I think the only things I've got so far that haven't been the default cardboard boxes etc are clothes I gifted my villagers and very occasionally, unnoteworthy furniture

does kicking them out via amiibo make the stuff in the garbage crapper? or am I just super unlucky?

I've gotten a few cute outfits from the recycling bin (work apron, a jumper-like dress).

I've seen a few people find some ironwood stuff. I want in on that

I think the coolest thing I have found so far was a Rock Guitar? I mostly get materials and plain cardboard boxes haha. Of course nobody ever leaves a cool cardboard box in there. OH and so many holey socks?? Like several pairs now.

Cardboard boxes are pretty much the coolest thing I've found lol.
I've had a few villagers leave, but they've just given stuff I already got, and nothing good either.

I’ve gotten the cancer table as well as shattered glasses which was an interesting item. I’m not sure if they came from a villager or were just randomly in there

Always a lot of iron, tree saplings, flowers, and cardboard. Some villagers left clothing (that I gave them )

Always try clearing it out even if the stuffs not cool, it makes new stuff appear.

All I get are cardboard boxes, tires, and a moldy dress. I feel like my villagers are planning a revolt soon.
