So... this thing is sticking out on my DS. I think it's part of the hinge, but I'm afraid to touch it since I don't want to break it. What do I do?

This happened on my DS one time... Your hinge has snapped. It'll still work, it'll just be screwy and feel awkward.
Either that, or the DS wont go into the normal viewing angle properly

There's pretty much nothing you can do about it. :U

I recommend that you contact Nintendo Customer service, they should be able to help you with situation. :)

Do this. If you don't mind paying $80 for a new hinge.

Yeah, outside of having Nintendo fixing it, I don't see any other way to fix a cracked hinge.

That's a DS Lite though, is there really any noticeable difference with it aside from the hinge sticking out, I know it was very noticeable with the DS Phat.

$80? Really?
That's like..more than half-the DS Lite's cost.
Well, have any of you tried pressing it down?

To make a DS Lite last slightly longer, would I be better putting it a flip and play case or one of those cases you can slot them in as with the cases, I cannot use my AR?
