i used to always sell in the store, but now that i've amassed 17 mil bells, i've been almost exclusively selling through the drop off box. what do you use more?

I guess if you have no need for bells selling on the drop off box is alot faster kinda like Stardew valley, I still feel like they shouldn't pay less honestly, its a small time saver but idk why give me a faster option if its less pay than the longer way? who knows.

I use the drop off box when the store is closed, and I have something of small value that I want to sell (I.E. a squid, black bass, or furniture item that sells for less than a thousand bells). I don't lose too many bells, and I still get SOME bells even though the store is closed.

I believe the devs has it pay less, because realism. I do agree it definitely give you all of the bells for the item... at least when they are closed. (I can understand making it 80 maybe 90% WHEN the store is open, in order to entice people to sell directly to the Nooklings, but when the store is closed it should go to full sell price.)

I used drop-off for a while just to see if there were any Nook Mile tasks associated with it (didn't appear so!)

I'll only use it now for low-value items if the store is closed, otherwise I just hold off until the morning when it opens again.

If you have a lot of bells already then the box is convenient. If it’s something pretty valuable I store it until I can sell it.

I use the drop off box for convenience if I'm selling stuff that's not worth much. But honestly, sometimes I avoid using the drop off box because I find the phone call the next day to be pretty annoying. It's just unnecessary, and when I start my game in the morning I wanna get going asap.

I always sell in the store, but I typically make my bells from turnips or from selling to other users on here rather than catching bugs and fish.

i almost exclusively sell in store, in my opinion it's not that much more difficult and the 20% that's taken off the sell price in the drop off box hurts. i have around 4 million bells and i don't worry too much about earning more but when it's such a small thing i think it's worth the little extra effort to get more bells.

I'm still poor so only use it when the store's closed and I'm desperate to empty low value bigs/fish out of my pockets. Will probably use it more if/when I have a load more bells saved though because personally I find selling kinda tedious

Its very helpful for selling unwanted flowers/shells/trash I don't feeling like going in the store for.

But yeah selling things like bugs/fish/fruit is stupid. You caused me to line the outside of your store with tarantulas the first week.
