Drop box / closet error

Does anyone get this error?

Sometimes when I close a closet my game will freeze right as it is closing and then boot me off. It happened so often to the point that I always save before opening a closet -_-; Now I've been trying to go to the island and it ALWAYS freezes after I close the drop box. It's happened 3 times in a row now and I'm really worried it's going to lead to bigger crashes (I stopped attempting at this point). Has anyone had this problem before and know what the reason is/how to fix it? I can't seem to find anything when I search similar problems on google.

It's really annoying because my main source of income is going to the island. I'm so po' lol

If it makes a difference, I'm playing on a digital copy. Does errors happen more often on digital copies opposed to the cartridge?

Usually I get an error when I put down items on the ground when I'm on wifi. It's extremely annoying

Yeah I noticed I encountered more problems while on wifi so I usually have it turned off. But this happens with the wifi off as well :'(

I also play on digital, but I have never experienced such troubles. Maybe try to update the game? Idk. Which SD cards do you guys use? Because I don't use the one that comes with the 3DS.

I always get errors, the same as yours, and I'm on a cartridge

I can't update right now but when I get wifi access I'll try it.
Mine's the one that came with the 3ds: Lexar 4gb SDHC
Which one do you use?
