Mm, well, I would say yes without hesitation (as I'm certainly in no hurry), but I know at least two people have been seeking him out as a 'dreamie' and have been active browsing this forum, and I sent them a VM, so in this case I would like it to go to whoever is available first.
If they don't reply by the time you're back (or maybe they already got Drift), though, by all means, he's yours. Hope you don't take this negatively; just don't prefer to reserve when I know several people are on the prowl for a villager, since if for some reason the person who reserved cannot pick him up, I can miss my chance to give him to someone before he is offline for an indeterminate time, and I would prefer to keep cycling so I can give more time to less popular villagers (yep, even Drift is not exactly 'bottom of the barrel' despite being 'tier 5').
Don't mean to be long winded: just thought you deserve an explanation.

Yeah Definately haha. My signature Is horribly outdated so I'm looking for either lolly or drift as my last villager haha I understand 
I'm not one to put people who have a villager as a 'dreamie' over anyone else interested, however, so if you are still interested in getting Drift and are the first available to get him, I definitely see no problem in letting you over to invite him to your town.Yeah Definately haha.
