So here I am, with all 10 of my villagers in town, all my dreamies placed... and now I'm starting to get slightly bored.

I'm pretty sure part of the reason is due to my severe lack of variety in terms of personalities. I have THREE smugs, two normals, two peppies, two lazies, and one uchi. I already plan to get rid of my last original villager that's a lazy, Cole, despite how much I like him, but now I'm getting worried that I'm going to start getting bored of the dream villagers that I liked so much and tried so hard to obtain.

I mean, there are some that I KNOW I'm not giving away, like Poppy, and then there are others that I find myself iffy on. I love my marshmallow squirrel, but him being seen everywhere and being quite overrated in general makes me feel a bit 'blegh' towards him... Then there's my conflict between Rosie and Ruby - both who are extremely similar Peppy's. I know that villagers who share personalities aren't all that different, but they just seem TOO similar to me.

Plus, I just kinda want some new faces in my town in general.

Has anyone else felt this, especially after getting all their dreamies? What do you even do about it?

I think this is one of the reasons some people end up resetting their towns. It's nice to have a goal, and now that you got your dreamies you're feeling bored. Maybe start a new goal. Completing your museum, decorating your house and town, start a new character and decorate their house, complete your badges, etc,etc.

I understand wanting to see new faces. I've had the same villagers in my Joy town for over two years. I really liked them, but wanted to see new faces. I ended up getting another copy, and used it as a cycling town for awhile. It was exciting to see who was moving in. I guess that kind of helped me. I would also visit dream town and talk to all the villagers. It was fun meeting some that I had never seen.

I say, let one villager go and have one spot to have different villagers coming in. Once they've had their time, let them go

I only have eight permanent villagers myself just so I can keep using my campsite and get some new faces from time to time, perhaps nine would be better for some if you have a lot of villagers you really have your heart set on and every space counts but I always hear that the tenth villager is the hardest to move.

I actually like having the same villagers for long periods of time, but I've definitely had the same problem with too many of one personality. Originally there were no uchis or jocks in my town but having too many repeat personalities made the game very boring to me. I'd suggest having one of each as hard as that can be. If it were based on just design I'd have like 5 normals, but in order to enjoy the game you need to mix it up a bit.

Yeah it's annoying, like I let Genji go once I got Bam so I could keep working on getting Tangy and Daisy back. I have Snake back again after losing him and I'm now wanting Genji back to make that duo again because I felt lucky to have both, but I don't want to ever let Bam go. It's a mess.

I am noticing a pattern (at least with myself) that I do get back a lot of old villagers..so even if you feel like you've had that villager for a long time and you're ready to mix things up, you probs will just end up wanting them back anyways lol. Basically 50% of my town is old villagers back for a second time.

I kinda felt the same way about my main town, so I was thinking of getting a 2nd copy for a long time.. and now that my main town is all complete, I got the 2nd copy. In my main town, all dreamies obtained, all 3 characters houses decorated & expanded, finished landscaping and PWPs.. there's nothing else for me to do except working on fish/bug badges.. and a few other gold badges like hosting & visiting, dreamer badge.. I was getting lil bored and unmotivated. I was also tired of villagers asking to move and saying no all the time >.< (I got picture from all of them so they really want to move away). So I got the 2nd copy and started a new town like a week ago. Now there's so much to do >_<;

If you can get hands on used NL for pretty cheap, maybe get a new copy and start cycling? You can cycle for a bit then turn it into a permanent town (like I'm doing right now). Or like others said, let someone go (from personality that you have multiples of), and find a villager w/ new personality instead.. c:

THIS. I have 4 normal villagers right now and I'm about to die, one of them was a random move in, but I think a good number of them need to go.
