Dream Town Update?

I keep asking Luna to update my dream town and when I do I check and see my dream town and it's not updated. Can you only update it once?

Are you checking your dream town with a second town? If not, then that's probably an old dream address code you are visiting. Since Luna doesn't allow you to check your current dream address code.

Nope, you need a second town to view yours. I don't know if you can even look at your town with your mayor, so I use my girlfriend's town.
