I am absolutely stumped as to where to put my fountain, and if anyone would have the time to dream a little dream of Eureka, I would very much appreciate the help.

In addition to my fountain dilemma, Punchy moved into a less than desirable area, and not having his amiibo card, I don't want to lose him for town design reasons, and I'm unsure how to make his location look a little bit better.

Would my town benefit from a path of sorts?

Thank you!

Bump, I still really need an opinion on where to put my fountain. I may have figured out how to solve the problem with Punchy.

I'd put the fountain in that empty area near the waterfall southeast of the Re-Tail pond. That way, you have an open space to landscape around the fountain to make it a focal point of your town.

For Punchy's house, there's not a whole lot you can do since it's surrounded by the river and Marshal's house. I guess I'd just extend the bushes around Punchy's house as much as you can to give it more of a cozy look.

Having paths is up to you. Generally, they make your town more convenient to get around, and they are helpful in towns with lots of flowers like yours. If you're going for a natural or forest theme in your town, then you could try things like dirt / clover / mushroom paths although they are a hell of a lot harder to do than patterns.

Ah, thank you so much! The fountain looks perfect in that area. I think I know what I must do to make Punchy's house look better, thank you so much! I think I will try a path.
