Dream Suite Now Offers Surprise Dreams!

Making a thread because I didn't see this being talked about anywhere even though this was a major gripe from people when the Dream Suite was released! I got a letter in the mail from Luna today mentioning surprises and sure enough when I went to the Dream Suite, we are able to go to a random surprise dream without a dream address!

This feature is so fun! Unlike with NL, a lot of the random islands I’ve visited have been heavily developed and are all unique in their own ways. I’m so glad they added this!!

I visited one just to test it out (hence the screenshot image) and it was a lovely autumn island named Respite!

The one thing I'm still a little disappointed about is that there's still no Nook Miles achievement for visiting dream addresses. I could understand why they didn't add it at first since little kids who play might not be able to communicate with others and find dream addresses, but adding random dreams seems like it would have been the perfect time to add an incentive to go on those random dream tours.

I think they want all the nook miles achievement to be ones you can do without online game play. Like there's the having visitors achievement but you can do that one with local play if you knew someone else who also had the game.

I guess I really didn't think about the visitors achievement being obtainable locally since I don't know anyone irl with a Switch. Makes sense though, even though I'm still disappointed.

I have honestly never used the dream service before so I'm really excited about this. Visiting random islands sounds super fun.

I went to random dreams all the time in NL, mostly because a lot of the popular ones had outdated codes following the welcome amiibo update. I especially like having it in NH thanks to how much customization a player can do to their island. Can't wait to see them all. <3

I don't know. So far, every time I've used it in New Horizons, I find overly developed islands, and they all have the same things like outdoor library, market place, and zen garden.

Definitely glad they added this feature. I was really sad we didn't have one when they first released Dream feature.

I thought this was included from the beginning, and I remember the first thing I did when getting the dream suite was try to do random island hops. I was so disappointed lol, so really glad to see this is now a feature!

I have only visited a couple of islands but this is how the dream suite has always been and should be Just more fun when it is a surprise,

Ok, I’m bored so think I will go and see what random dream I get. Would be funny if it was someone from the bell tree

Awesome.

It's the one DS feature that I liked, and the only reason I used it in NL.

Now we can visit random dreams again, I'll definately use the DS!

I love this feature!! I visited a few of the islands on here but I found it monotonous to look for DAs and type them in so I wasn’t visiting islands very much. I will definitely be dreaming a lot more now

i’m really glad that this feature was added in! visiting random dream towns was always one of my favourite pastimes in new leaf and so i’m excited to be able to do it again!

Can't wait to use this. Even when I used an external random dream generator site I came across some pretty cool islands! Gotta wait a bit until I can use it though because I'm not ready to update my own DA lol.

I tried it out and it's so cool!!! I like being pleasantly surprised. Sometimes I can't decide which dream address to visit so this worked out great. Visiting these surprise dreams makes me smile and feels like going on an adventure.

I've done more dream travelling because of this as its makes it so much easier. I only use this forum so my only way for collecting dream addresses the first time round so I havent really travelled that much. I've gone travelling everyday since the update

Sounds great! I can't wait to try this out. I hope it isn't just your own region's dream islands you can visit. I would love to visit dream towns from across the globe for inspiration.

I'm also hoping this doesn't get removed in the future from mass un warrented reporting.

I am happy about it and will be using (and have been since the update) the dreaming more. I don't have to go to my computer, turn it on, find the website, just to get a randomly generated DA. I can just do it all from Luna. I like being surprised plus it gives the chance of seeing other's islands who haven't shared their DA much online.
