So after about 2 months of basically non-stop Animal Crossing.about 10-14 hours a day..
I've finally finished For the most part the town of Bellocan!
This town is my 2nd town after resetting my first one, Hamel.
I was rather unmotivated after resetting for the first and had little to no motivation to continue playing.
I had put down ACNL for about 3 months until actually working up the nerve to face Isabelle again.
But once I had picked up momentum again, I basically couldn't stop working towards a town brighter and better than my last. It was an obsession really.
So, it would mean a great amount to me if you'd dream about my renewed town. I'd love to see pictures and reviews of how I did on this time around! Any tips and/or feedback is really appreciated!

So, comes around another burning question I've had in the back of my head,
should I reset again? or should I spend money to buy a new copy for a fresh start?
It kinda struck me as unnerving remembering how down in the dumps I was when I first restarted but now that I'm at the end of it, I'm really glad I made the decision to do so.
It was really fun to start from the ground up and I've enjoyed every moment of working towards
getting my dream villagers whom I dearly love, obtaining items and getting help with landscaping thanks to the wonderful people on the forum.
I don't really know if I can have the same experience with ACNL knowing that I've finished almost every single major renovation in the town. I've always thought that I'd take it slow after I had finished the beautiful town of Bellocan but thinking about it now, at the brim of the end, It seems rather stale and boring in my opinion. I'm not about that slow life, It brings me joy to know I can build something great from nothing.

So I'd like to ask for your opinion, Should I restart this town? It'll be forever preserved in a dream if I do.
You're all free to dream of Bellocan and give me your input, what do you think?
You're also invited to dream of my last town, Hamel, for a comparison to see how far I've come.

Thank you for taking the time to read ♥

Are you saying you DON'T love Hamel? I'm dreaming of it right now, and it's so beautiful! Definitely one of my favorite dream towns ever. It's so relaxing. I love the way you've arranged the paths around little squares of flowers and bushes. Plus you have Eunice and Biskit in your town, and I'm a sucker for sheep and dogs. And I love Erik! I'm hoping to get him in my second town when I restart. I'm going to take some inspiration for my second town from this place. Nicely done!

Your second town is very pretty as well, but I actually think I prefer Hamel. It had a lot of enclosed spaces and narrow lanes, which is something I like a lot, both in AC and real life. You've got Vesta in this town, though! She's adorable. I have her in Feldspar and love her to pieces. Oh hey, and same for Lionel. Weird. Love the section of rainbow tulips here. You've got quite a knack (in both towns) for placing PWPs.

I can see why you feel like your town is completed. Part of me wants to urge you not to waste all that work, but of course, you CAN always visit in dreams. Clearly you can build "something from nothing" more than once. If you think you'll have fun starting a totally new town, I'd say go for it, especially if you aren't finding much pleasure in AC lately. I would probably enjoy spending some time just relaxing in my completed town, but I understand that it might not be everyone's thing. In the end, it's totally your decision. So not much advice for you, but I think you'll be able to build a third great town if you do restart!

In my opinion, I'm not as fond of Hamel as I am of Bellocan. When I look back on it, there are alot of things I feel like I could've done better such as PWP placements, flower arrangements, town layout, plot resetting and such. Hamel was my first town ever, I had no idea what to do. It was the first time I had picked up an Animal Crossing game and grown a vast interest in it. When I re-dream about Hamel, I notice I could've placed those paths better, arranged those flowers nicer, place those PWP in better places. Plus I had no idea what the Dream Suite or what a dream address was at the time, I had no idea that when I saved that dream, it would be preserved for everyone to see or give the chance to look back on the past. I also had the same feeling of "completion" in Hamel, I can't say it took me more work than Bellocan because really.. It didn't, I only put in about 1/2 of the effort. When I had that feeling of being 'finished' with my town, I kinda just gradually lost interest in the game. Things began to fall apart in Hamel, villagers moving in on vital areas and dreamies moving out threw off the landscaping in the town and I didn't really have much motivation to fix any of it. I demolished some PWP because I thought I could've revamped the town, but not much inspiration nor motivation ran through me after going through an entire town. I was bored looking at the same, familiar landscape and I grew less and less interested in trying. This eventually spurred me to reset and in my opinion, I'm happier that I did. I'm not saying I don't like Hamel, but I definitely prefer Bellocan over it.
