Of course! This isn't even my own original idea, so I think that you should absolutely do! It's a really fun thing that you can do to give away a villager.

Hello there

Hello there. I'm new to the forum - I'm Hamnams on Reddit. I just wanted to say thank you so much for this.
I didn't expect to win, I just thought the idea of the competition was really special and I thought it would be a good way to connect with other users.

Marshal has always been a dream villager in the back of my mind, but I've never asked for him because I never really believed there was any way he would move to my town.

Part of me wishes I'd made my entry more impressive, but at least know I do NOT have a steady hand so there are a lot more eraser marks than I should admit. I was so blown away by all the entries, I had cast away any idea of being in the running, but stayed online to see how things panned out.

Sorry for posting when I'm sure a lot of people tried really hard and had hopes pinned on this, and OP seems to be really under fire on the Reddit post. Just know I will 100% not take this for granted - Marshal will be a forever resident of Brown, and will not be used for trading or material gain, and he'll be so so looked after.

I just think youguys are a great bunch of people from your posts, and I hope everyone gets who they're looking for. Thank you so much Punmac - and if there is ANYTHING that you need, or that I can do for you - please ask.
That or I'm going to have to get creative.

I'm really sorry if all of the stuff going on in the reddit thread seems sort of hurtful towards you, I think that the person is just trying to heavily support their opinion. Just know that I thought your submission was great and very creative. Thanks for participating!

Don't worry about me. I'm having an absolutely heavenly evening. I'm on cloud nine. This was just the biggest surprise - I still can't believe it. I couldn't possibly feel hurt. Water off a ducks back.

I just feel so bad that you're under fire for doing such a charitable, fun thing. People are downvoting you left and right (I didn't even know there was a downvote option on adoptmyvillager) Obviously I'm the last person who should be saying this - but for other people to dictate to you how to run your own post giving away your things - making it an open vote. I can't say anything! But my heart bleeds for you right now!

I think what encouraged me to even join, was your comment "capture the real essence of MSPaint." - so I had some vision for my post to be just a little pathetic looking, as I don't really associate the program with fine art.

Just know - this post has made me decide to give away my future villagers (minus trades) as opposed to asking for anything for them. When Lobo leaves - I know he's pretty popular, so I know he'll at least be the tip of the iceberg - I'm going to pay it all forward and do as much good as I can in-game - and not play for profit anymore.
