In my not so subtle way of having somewhat high hopes for Xenoverse, DBZ fighting games everybody!

To be honest, I had a long history with these games...and it's not a good one either.
My first game was Budokai 1 back on the glorious Gamecube, didn't get that far before I dropped the game and moved back on to SA2B and Melee. Then again, I was like 5 or 6 when my dad bought it for me as he wanted me to get into DBZ so badly...but I never did, I'm a loser I know.

But after I saw DBZ Kai (A great show compared to the original), I experimented with a lot of the series games, starting ironically with Raging Blast (The latest game out by that point).
My personal favorites are still Budokai 3 and BT3 (To an extent, I do believe that the game aged terribly compared to Budokai 3).

But what are your thoughts on the DBZ games?
I would love to hear your thoughts about them.

I've been a fan of DBZ since I was little (I'm 27 now). As such, I absolutely HATE DBZ Kai.

Anyway, my favorite would be Budokai 3.
I recently got my copy of it signed by a few members of TeamFourStar!

My favorite DBZ Game is Budokai Tenkaichi 3, imo it's the best in the series. I do hope that Xenoverse is better than the ones released recently, because they haven't been that good lately

I really like Budokai 3 and the original Budokai is pretty good too. I still kind of want XBOX remake of them.

I tried Tenkaichi when it first came out and I didn't like it at all.

I don't recall which Budokai it was, but I'll never forget this battle I had. I was Broly, and my friend was Hercule.. needless to say, it was entirely one sided and ended with my blowing up the planet.

Wait, I thought Dragon Ball Z Kai was the original anime but without the filler episodes, a new OST and a graphical improvement.

I played a few Dragon Ball games. My favorite is Budokai Tenkaichi 3.

Dragon Ball is one of those animes with dubs that are superior than the original japanese dub.

Kai's is pretty much that, not to mention it got a redub from FUNimation, which I know people aren't a fan of.
But....I prefer good acting compared to horrible acting from like 1999.

I like the Japanese original (Yes, even Goku's child voice. I got used to it pretty fast), but I find the dub and the original both good.

It was Budokai 3 you're talking about.

The HD collection's solid aside from a few glaring issues, like the awesome soundtrack being replaced, censorship from Broly's Ultimate in Budokai 3 (Why do that again?), and the PAL version is still stuck with the Japanese original dialouge and the fact that the subtitles are hilariously bad, I can't take it seriously.

Tenkaichi 1 was terrible, play 2 & 3 they're much better games.
