Don't you think ex-residents are kinda depressing?

They usually always say the same thing and they seem to be forgetful about the times which they meet a player who they knew before moving once again.

Kinda depressing seeing Bubbles like that, but it happens...

I honestly wish they would talk to each other, make them feel more alive and happy .. seeing them just standing there it is quite sad!

Kind of. When I see them walking around main street it's sort of like running into someone from high school that you don't talk to anymore.

It would be nice if they did mention villagers from which they knew and remembered some good moments like birthday parties and alikes.

Weird is that even villagers who moved to another town appears in the previous town's main street with their original outfit and even saying their default catchphrase.

A example is Apollo who look like a doppelganger in Joyville while the real Apollo even ask about his friends when a player from Joyville talk to him in Acme.

Depressing? Maybe, yeah. I find it kind of sad in some ways, it feels like they're lost in purgatory or something when I see them wandering around main street. Like they just don't belong there and didn't want to be there. Idk, it's kind of spooky to me. It makes me feel bad for moving them out.

Its feels extremely sad! Especially when it happened to Kidd. To me he just looked kinda poor (because his house looked so small and messy), and when he moved I just felt like he'd have nowhere to go. That's why I want his card to bring him back home!

The weirdest thing is when they are just wandering the streets late at night. Like 2am. It makes me wonder about the un-shown adult and criminal (gasp) world of ANCL!

Back when I thought that hitting villagers with a net and pushing them around would make them leave I totally felt awkward after Grizzly left and he kept visiting me... especially when he'd tell me that "I'm still the same person" or something verbatim like that. Lol

Yeah its really sad when it was your favourite villager that moves..

It's sad in the sense that they come everyday, making it seem like they miss the town a lot

yeah, definitely depressing. it seems like a weird exercise in nostalgia, too, because it's not like you can really interact with them. it's almost just a way to see who has been in your town, as like an archive. not necessarily a gathering of former villagers in your city.

it's kinda cool, if you have a lot, but as other people said - what's the point if they never even talk to each other. ghost_town.com lol

Not really anymore because all of my voided villagers I have amiibo cards for anyway lol

Yeah it's some creepy ****, and I tend to avoid the hell out of them especially at night. I once went to Main Street and saw the terrifying, soul stealing eyes of Cole standing right in front of the entrance, staring at me. Wtf. I love him and all, but get outta here with that ****.

But other than that, I think it's really strange that villagers never talk about former residents, yet they'll talk about any random that visits your town? I let quite a lot of people come over to get signatures, and my villagers will mention their names for months, yet they can't even be ****ed to reminisce about someone who used to live right next to them lmao

I think they should become more interactive in the next game. It's just unsettling how they only say one sentence when you talk to them. Like, have the option to have a conversation with them or visit the town (not becoming a town resident again, but as in following the mayor around for company). Also, they should keep their last worn shirt and catchphrase when they first become ex-residents and then eventually they should change their shirt (and maybe catchphrase) so it doesn't feel like they are stuck in purgatory.

Not really, unless the villager was someone that I had to let go to let someone else in. Otherwise, my ex-villagers are pretty ugly and I don't care about seeing them.

honestly I hate that they hang out on main street.. Diana was one of my starter villagers, I traded her for Stitches. I ended up not keeping Stitches and I really miss Diana. it sucks seeing her all the time because I really regret giving her up
