Don't you just hate it...

Well that's kind of rude. I think everyone's overreacting a bit by telling you to drop these friends just because of this one piece of information. For some people the game may not be a big deal, so they might not realize exactly how difficult it is to get certain villagers. Maybe they just saw it as eating the last cookie in front of you that you really wanted or something. Disappointing, but you can always get more cookies at a later time(I don't know, I'm bad at analogies). If this is something prevalent throughout your friendship and concerning more than just Animal Crossing you might want to think about whether the friendship is really worth it though. If it bothers you too much you can try talking to them though, and let them know how important it is to you. If they still don't think it's a big deal and it bothers you a lot, you could try distancing yourself from them for a bit to see if that gets the point across.

I know it seems like overreaction, but I've seen those words before in different context. And I've seen things happen to other people. I'm not saying everyone is bad, but if they're already starting to show their true selves like this, don't you think it might be a valid point?
"Just to spite you."
"Just to watch you get mad/upset/cry."

Those are horrible things to say someone unless you're joking -- which they were clearly not. Usually you and I are on the same page, but I'm going to stand my ground here. There's tons of stuff we don't know, but from what we do know, I'd say it's enough to encourage anyone who's feeling unsure to leave and find better people.

And there are a lot of times I've done things to friends without really knowing how much it affected them, and friends have done that to me as well. What seems like a joke to some people may not be a joke to other people. Now, if someone continues to do it after being told how much it upsets them then no, they're not much of a friend. But I can definitely see how someone could see voiding a villager as a joke, since a lot of people don't see video games as a very serious thing to begin with. Not that it's a very nice joke anyway, but sometimes people don't think before they act.

Now, of course, I can agree here. I've done things and had done things as well, since I'm a bit thick-skulled sometimes and don't ALWAYS realize when my jokes go too far. So, perhaps I was jumping the gun a little too fast.

Talking to them would be advisable. If you explain to them, like Piro says, how it makes you feel and they genuinely apologize and cease behavior, then it'll most likely be okay. If not, though... Well, you know what to do.

And thank you, Piro, for tugging my leash a bit :P I get overzealous sometimes.

I just know I've accidentally done some things before that have upset friends and I wouldn't want them to cut me off before explaining what I've done.

Quite a few of my friends' villagers had ended up in my town without me even attempting to make them move in. Alfonso was a dreamy of mine, so I got lucky. His catchphrase and shirt have been all weirded out, though, so I'm trying to get him back. My dream town would be a town with the AC Movie cast. Alfonso is one step closer.

My friends in ACNL were VERY nice to me. Espc. because they started back in June and I had only started in December. They helped me complete some of my catalog and they gave me lotsa bells.

I have had ONE very good friend though, I let him into my town to explore. And he was my best friend... He took my hybrids and completely destroyed my town. I haven't spoke with him since.

I don't know. Your friends are making you jealous to tease you? I dunno. They don't sound like very good friends to me tbh.

I have friend who did play ACNL and he understand what is dreamies and he do have some himself but he doesn't care about other people's dreamies. He tend to void villager cause he got no patient to find a new home for his starter villager and go adopt from others. I told him to ask around a little in TBT because even one popular villager do have people who wants them, he said no. So he voided Aurora, Simon and Static and maybe others I not sure.

And I have another friend who doesn't care at all to deal online so everytimes a vlllager want to move out, she allow them and void it, she even void Marshal after I told her how much he worth in TBT. But in her perspective, this is just plain stupid. I guess even I have people playing ACNL I am the only one taking this game so serious and spend so much effort.

Are you sure they are your 'friends'? True friends will help you out, not do this kind of thing. I'm pretty sure they mean no harm, but for me, it's definitely offensive and if I were you I'll ditch them and never talk to them again.

I'm just kidding but I'm sort of serious too on this statement.
