Give away a certain item that you don't want, tell them no and they give it to you anyway.

Its annoying, all it does is give one space away in my pocket and have to take a trip to Re-Tail just to get rid of it.

Its like they cant hear you. (Jocks do this.)

I hate this too. Especially because its always something I reallly dont want. Like how Tucker made me take his mens toilet. Thanks Tucker >.> really needed one of those

I usually attach some of the things they give me and re-gift them via letters to other villagers. That kind of makes me seem a little ungrateful, tho. :c

The Jewish part of me makes me never want to turn down the free stuff because the bells I get from selling that stuff will add up eventually (not really, but free bells are free bells regardless of how few).

The gifts maybe annoying but they help fill up your catalog. I have some empty letters for items like the men's toilet.
My main town completed their catalog last year. Any items I'm happy to get to give to my other town to catalog. One less item to order.

Normally I wouldn't recycle my old posts but...

Lobo asks me if I want a Raven Pole. I say no.
Lobo pings again an hour later, saying I've won the opportunity to buy his Raven Pole. I say no again.
Lobo then offers the Raven Pole for free. I say no.
Lobo pings again next hour. Shoves the Raven Pole into my arms and leaves.
I put the Raven Pole up for sale in Re-Tail
Upon my next visit to Re-Tail, before the store even loads, I heard the feckin "PING" and I already knew...
He bought the god danged Raven Pole =_________________________=

It ain't just the feckin' jocks =w=

It does get annoying, but it also fills up your catalogue. Sometimes they can even come in some weird kinda handy.

Villager A asks for items for his house.
Villager B gives me ugly shet
Villager A gets the ugly shet Villager B gave me
Everyone wins.

Or my personal favorite...

Villager A pings me to give me ugly shet
Villager A then tells me he wants different shet in his house
I give Villager A the ugly shet back
Villager A is all excited and gives me more ugly shet

Literally happened with Lucha the other day. He asked me to buy his Toaster, then said he needed new stuff in his house. I proceeded to give the Toaster right back. Now Lucha has a Toaster again~

These animals man. I feel like such an awful Mayor sometimes.

You're not horrible. Both of the villagers who moved into my town and were original immediately put an item out of their house up for sale at retail. Merengue needed furniture - I give her fridge back. Pietro put his colorful wheel up for sale and I bought it then put it up for sale for the same price. Then Pietro buys it. Boom - I made two houses original again :)

Chrissy just gave me her Cream sofa by asking no yes or no questions. I talked to her again and she asked for furniture. So I gave her back the cream sofa (The one she gave me) and gifted me Chrissy's Pic. Wow, not being sarcastic. But Wow! Something that is worth something to keep!

Hey, the best things in life are free. And no it's not just jocks. I've had peppy, lazy, and cranky villagers also do this.

YES. I hate it... It's hard enough keeping junk out of my inventory. But that's why I have a super handy trash can. <3

All of my villagers like to give me things but the one who does it the most is Wolfgang and he's a cranky type. :o

I don't mind that they give me things though!
I think it's cute and I like having help with completing the catalogue.
There's also extra $$$ and every little bit helps for that awful bell saving achievement. >:C

I've seen all villagers do it and I'm usually just happy for the free stuff, they're generous people/anthropomorphic animals.

It doesn't bother me much. What DOES bother me is when they want to buy something from me, and I can't just give it to them.

I never want to say no to them on the off-chance that it might allow me to give it to them for free, so I just agree to sell it to them.
