About a week or two ago I started a second town. I decided to go with country/city theme with the top part being the city part and the lower part being the country part. Only, I made a mistake. I put the campsite in the only lager empty space which I now realize would be the perfect place to put the fountain. I currently have my fountain in an awkward spot, a spot that I hate. Also, there are too many ponds in the top part. I would switch the city part for the country part, but the lower half of my map is too small. All this makes me extremely unhappy and disappointed in my town. I really don't want to reset my town again because I don't want to lose Rosie or Filbert. Plus, I like everything else about the town except the layout. Maybe I should just reset again. But it would take a lot of time traveling to make the progress I made. I really don't know where to go from here or what to do. Any advice?

Well you can demolish the pwps and replace them elsewhere..Let's say that you haven't maxed out your PWP allowance..build a new one but before you pay it off Isabelle will let you ask to demolish another, then pay off the new PWP and the next day the new will be there and the old gone and you can rebuild the demolished PWP where you want it.
Be aware she won't let you chose to destroy and build same day if you ask to destroy after the new PWP is paid off so ask before you pay the gyroid or else you have to wait a day to build anything new but this will do it in one shot a build and destroy and next day replace..costs to rebuild but better than resetting unless it's the ones you can't move..

But you can't destroy the campsite

That's true..you can move almost everything else..unless the campsite, coffee shop and police station are your big issues or it's just one PWP in the wrong place and you can't live with moving the others to the lower side then..I guess it depends how new, how much you've put in and your villagers but if you can't live with the camp or move the other pwps up or down then..that won't work. But just take I to account how many umfixable issue you have before deciding if it's just one maybe work around it but if you really can't do it then you could reset..but was hoping you could fix the little issues but if you truly hate the camp and can't revision the town I don't know...

If you really can?t think of another good place for your fountain, and you can`t work with your town layout, then you should restart. You sound frustrated though, maybe give it a few days, try to think about other possible places for your PWPs, is it worth it to restart? Maybe you could come up with a new plan for your town?

Depending on how much you've put into the town, maybe restarting would be a thing to think about? It may be kind of extreme so you should weigh out your options for a while like suggested. But I know better than anyone that one bad placement can ruin a town flow. Trust me, this is the cause for me and a lot of people to reset. But ultimately it is your choice.

Villagers can always be replaced or adopted. If you're unhappy with the pwp placement resetting may be a good thing for you. I have the cafe in a spot in my main town that I totally hate but since I've had the town for a year I'm not going to reset. If you just started up, though, I don't see why not.

Agree with the above poster. You can get those villagers back after you restart...but nothing can be done about where you put the campsite.

I had the same experience with a recent town I made. Difficult as it was, I reset. I absolutely LOVE this new town. Resetting was the greatest decision for me. Good luck, sweetie!

Gotta suggest that maybe a fresh few sets of eyes on the problem could offer their alternatives? Post your dream code, maybe we can come and tell you what we'd do to fix things if it were us

I would restart. Those things would bother me too much. I've restarted because of grass patterns. LOL

I think having the country part at the bottom makes the most sense and that's the only way I'd do it. The bottom part has the beach and I'd try to get a pond or two down there. The campsite would fit in nicely. Even Re-Tail would look good because it looks like a little general store. The top works as the city because of the train station and Main Street being above the tracks. I'd try to get a map without a pond up there...

Sorry for going off. I just think the idea is pretty cool. :)

Follow your heart. c: Hehe. But if you wanna make it work out, you'll find some way! Though I don't want to admit it, my town has a preeeetty bad map; I'm trying to be optimistic though, and I'm trying to make things work out. ;u; (If you really wanna reset though, go ahead! The campsite can't fix itself. :c)
