I'm trying to catch a fly and have 6 pieces of trash placed around my town, two of each type. I also have some rotting turnips just in case flies appear for them. All of the guides say that flies can spawn in any season at any time, so i'm confused as to why I haven't had any flies appear in two weeks? I have a 3 star town rating and hundreds of flowers because i'm breeding hybrids, I'm wondering if that has an impact? Has anyone else struggled to get flies to appear?

Do you run around your town a lot? I find that often causes them to fly away before you get anywhere near them.

Flies took a day or two for me. They also don't always seem to be flying, as if they land on the trash. The first time I saw one I accidentally ran over the trash thinking it wasn't there and then it flew away. Your 3-star rating shouldn't affect it. Hope you find one soon!

i actually had a hard time seeing the flies at first lmao - one time i picked up a tire thinking it wasn't working and a fly flew off! it does take a little while for them to show up, but i feel like you should have had at least one by now ! good luck on the fly hunt!

If you continue having a lot of trouble you might want to try moving at least one to make sure it's in a more open area, i don't know if it affects flies but i know i didn't get an ant for the longest time because my turnip was in a spot that prevented spawns.
