Does TTing forward rot turnips?

I know that if you TT back to a time that your game knows has already past, the turnips will rot. But do turnips rot if you TT forward one day? (I have a feeling that they will rot if you go past the next sunday, but I'm not thinking of going that far)

I think a few hours won't matter, but a whole day will spoil them, yes.

If you have to, maybe check and see if someone could hold your turnips for you while you TT.
