Does this count as garbage?

Now, I DID have a bunch of crap around my town, but I cleaned it up and expected the next day that there wouldn't be any issue. Sadly Isabelle had the same report, that people thought they were living in a land fill T-T

I DO have bushels of fruit on the ground (not just single fruit) as well as patterns on the ground.

Do either of these count as garbage or does it simply take a couple of days for people to decide the place has been cleaned up?

Baskets of fruit count as trash, but single fruit by themselves don't.

I pick up all the baskets of fruit I have laying in my town but its still the same thing :/

Beach counts as part of your town too unfortunately, and I don't remember if buried gyroids counted or not, but maybe dig any of those up as well.
My towns are pretty messy, I wish there were more storage options.

I made an extra character just to have their storage, that helps a lot : )

I do this when I have a large number of things I want to sell that would just be cluttering up my town or museum. : D It works fantastically.


Except once I had about 380 bush starts/saplings to sell and so my town was still a mess. .-.

If you clean up and it's enough, Isabelle will tell you on the spot. You don't have to wait for the next day, though I think the 6am day reset is what counts for your 15 days of perfection. In other words, if you're doing a trade with a friend and put a bunch of junk on the ground, Isabelle would tell you you have a garbage dump, but if you clean it up before 6am, it won't hurt your chances of getting a golden watering can.
