my island is covered in flowers and trees and so many different attractions that keeping snowballs intact is like fighting a war youll never win. they always spawn in the most obscure locations as well
i also had to dig up a small area of my town near the museum and resident services. i do get snowballs spawning elsewhere (mostly in my front garden) but destroying them and entering/exiting a building usually causes them to spawn in the location i cleared. frankly, i don't need to build snowmen now that i have the new recipe and the NM achievement, but i don't want to get stuck with a "build a snowman" NM+ task that i can't complete. (even though i don't need to farm miles at all either lmao.) i had to clear a different part of my town last year too, although it was only across the path, but now that i've officially decorated that area (which took me ages and includes furniture) it wasn't an option. since there are only a few trees and flowers in the area i'm currently using, i just took top-down pictures of it -- one with the trees in place and one with the holes they were planted in -- for reference when spring rolls back around and i can fill it in again.
Mine, sort of. I have a lot of open roads but they are all covered by paths. I TT'd back to summer already but last winter I kicked away a dirt path so I can build snowmen. The two snowballs always spawned in that area after I did that too.
Kinda sad, as I like the snowmen...But i don’t like being undecorated. I wish there was something like snowmen for other seasons. Maybe I’ll leave one area as a seasonal one and fill with seasonally appropriate furniture?
I have too many levels and no space, so I just make the absolute smallest snowboys I can make. I actually find it easiest to make perfect ones from the smallest size, vs full sized.
I don’t have snow but when I do in the Southern Hemisphere, I have plenty of MASSIVE blank areas and it’s so simple for e to make snowmen. Blame my procrastination,
Yeah, but I've literally never made a perfect snowman in my life so I've just given up on them completely and kick the snowballs into my fences until they break out of spite.
Same! All my flowers and areas make it SUPER Hard to have any space for the Snowboys I only have this one medium sized patch of snow where some pear trees are behind my vegetable garden. People probably won't believe this but I actually found both snowballs right there! They were touching each other. I think I might remove some of the pathing so it is easier to build them! I used to think the island was too big but when you start getting furniture and ideas ITS TO SMALL.
They seem to spawn in more random places this year. Last year they always would show up in the empty area I had. This year I do have an empty area because I can’t figure out how to get it right and they spawn everywhere else. Like my Zen garden that didn’t have much space. I had to remove the decorations to build the snowman then put the decorations back.
