Does the duplication glitch still work?

I wouldn't know, but during a trade on here, somebody tried it, I'm sure, as as I was going home, I got the Resetti error and was back in my town.
They apologized and asked me to come back.
I had a feeling it was a scam, so I wasn't going to go back.
The more I thought about it, the more I think that's what this person tried to do.
I have read about it, but haven't, nor wouldn't attempt it.
Still annoyed at the person who tried to put one over on me. :-/

Everyone in the animal crossing community is so nice but I would 100% never trust someone I don't know irl to dupe rare items with XD Too risk?
Also tricking someone into doing that is so dumb??lmao
Hi, Jon, I don't know anything about a duplication glitch, but when my dodgy wifi goes down during a trade, either when I am in someone else's town, or I am in my own town, the Resetti error message appears and sends me (or the other person) home without anything that was dropped off or picked up. Maybe that is what happened to you? I have had to ask people to come back or let me come back more times than I care to remember. Our wifi can sometimes crash dozens of times a day...

No, it was a scam.
They wanted 12 of a certain item that I only had 6 of.
They had been messing around a while, and acting oddly.
When I was sent back to my town I had the items on me that I had left in her town.
She then wanted me to go back, but I said I no longer had the items.
She acted surprised, and said that I should still have them.
I think she duped my items, then wanted my 6 again.
That would equal 12.
What she originally wanted.
I don't believe in coincidences.

It just seemed weird.
I certainly wasn't going to go back and give her 6 more if she reset me on purpose.
As long as you aren?t asking for details on how to perform the glitch, or actively looking for someone to dupe with, these types of threads are allowed. If you think a thread breaks the rules report it, but there?s no reason to post in it telling a member it?s not allowed; it?s not your place to do so.
