I'm in a relatively new town, so I have yet to turn my town into any kind of desert, but I want to have dirt paths. I also have the beautiful ordinance, since I like growing hybrids. I know the ordinance doesn't repair worn away grass, but what if I want to wear away my grass? Will the ordinance stop it or slow it down? Will I have to sacrifice my pretty flowers for dirt paths?

I don't think the ordinace does. But the flowers will pop up, which will slow down/stop grass erosion. Also the snow will cover them up.

The beautiful town ordinance isn?t related to grass wear, your grass still wears away with it in effect.

I've kept the beautiful town ordinance in place from the day I was able to get it, the grass wear has been a constant pain in my neck.

It's almost sadistic that they decided to do this. The game encourages you to play every day, then punishes you for doing so by making your town look AWFUL. I decide to start playing only once every three days, and my grass has improved greatly. So mad.

No the ordinance doesn't stop grass determination unfortunately. I really wish it did because it is annoying having to watch were I'm walking as to not ruin my grass.

Your flowers will never wilt under that ordinance, but it doesn't take into account grass erosion. Don't put your flowers on these patches, cause grass might regrow!

not sure whether its the season or the ordinance but one of of villagers moved away and after 2days the grass completely grew back where the villager was staying. it was spring back then

Nope.
But good luck changing because today and yesterday stoopid Isabella wouldn't let me change my Ordinace SOO.
