Does raw rice have an expiration date...?

Technically yes but unless It's been there for like a year you're probably fine.

Right, right. Thx guys, I just cooked the old a** rice and its tasting pretty darn good. I'm a bit surprised lol. I think it mightve been there for the past year, not sure but i think that was the emergency rice my mom bought when she became paranoid that we were going to go through a recession ..

Any dried foods can be stored for a loooong time

Just don't re-heat rice, and you should be fine with it.
There's nothing inherently dangerous with the reheating of rice itself. It's how the rice was stored prior to reheating. If you have leftover rice, cool it asap and store it in the fridge for a day at most. You should only reheat rice once, so if you're only going to have a portion of the leftovers, then only reheat that portion.

There are a lot of misconceptions about food poisoning, mainly that if you thoroughly reheat food, it'll remove the risk of poisoning. Reheating kills the bacteria, but it's not the bacteria that makes you ill. It's the toxins that they produce, and the toxins are not destroyed by heating. This is why you should refrigerate food asap to slow down the growth of bacteria.

Raw rice that has not been cooked can last a loooooong time.

Meanwhile cooked rice can only last about a day in the Rice Cooker (sad asian is sad)
