So, in my second town, I'm working on a cataloging project with some friends. I've covered my beach pretty much with all the items that would normally go to ReTail. Now, Gulliver has washed ashore, and I honestly don't know if he has wiped out items on the beach the way Redd can do in the town plaza. I don't have the Police Station, so I can't tell by looking there. I haven't put anything of value down there, but I know some use the beach for breeding hybrids so it is a real issue for them. If he's not wiping out my items, will they reappear or does he choose the little bits of beach that are still open? If you fill the beach completely, for example, will Gulliver stop coming at all?

I know I have found Gulliver laying in my flowers before, but as for items, I don't know.....

I'm sure he looked very comfortable. Were the flowers back the next day? Or as soon as he got up?

No he doesn't. After you wake him up, your items/flowers/seashells are still there.

That's good to know! Glad I'm not going to end up blocking him altogether or losing my items. Need to work harder on getting that police station though.

Interesting. I never considered this. Thanks for bringing up the topic. I tend to line my beaches with the flowers I'm breeding and such, so it would be sad to lose some hybrids to his placement.

Glad to hear it doesn't affect them in the end!

Everyone has already answered this question but it is one I wondered about also ... Thankfully he doesn't wipe out anything :)
In fact, I noticed that when he does appear it is usually in an area of the beach that is the least cluttered ... I have rare flowers and path laid out along my entire beach front, and I lined the paths on the water side with deep water eggs and water eggs (I know! I'm weird - lol) and I worried that Gulliver might wipe out my eggs in particular .... But NOPE :lemon: ... It's all good

Confirmation is always welcome! As I dropped all my items, I thought I might block him. Then when he showed up, I wasn't sure if I had filled every spot along the edge with items or not...

I'm pretty sure he wipes seashells out, but not normal items/flowers. :)

Doesn't wipe out seashells. He is in my town today and when he got up, there was a piece of coral where he was laying down. Would have been very uncomfortable.
Haha ... I hope it did make him uncomfortable! ... But he was probably too "drunk"/typhooned too notice! Lol
