I know we had several frustrations in New Leaf, but some of the major ones have been so bad that it put a common annoyance we have been dealing with for the past four games - sea bass.

Since it's been 16 months (people should have a lot of stuff done by now), I decided to ask if the sea basses are still hated. We made making money in-game much easier. Most of us should have our fish collections complete, a lot of us should have millions of Bells in ABD, and we had more effective ways of making money (like the beetle farming and turnip trading). But with our areas of focus on all that, do people still hate the sea bass?

Sea basses have been an annoyance to begin with, but after all these months of making money through online trading (and starting StarFall with 111 million Bells transferred), sea basses have began to fade away from the annoyance list. They're only annoying if you don't have much money or have incomplete fish collections, and I rarely did beetle farming in the town of StarFall. I don't think they're a bad fish anymore, but I still like those funny pictures on Tumblr that mock on sea basses (like that comic strip of a girl catching a sea bass with shark fin costume, Finding Coelacanth movie poster, and the encyclopedia information replaced with a whole bunch of "no"s).

Sea bass and Horse Mackeral are still pretty annoying to me - (Incomplete fish encyclopedia)

I'm just beginning serious work on my fishing badge. With hundreds of fish to go, no need for bells and a completed museum, I should be happy to catch any fish. But I still hate that sea bass. And his cousin the black bass is only slightly less appalling.

I don't mind the sea bass, but I've only played AC:NL. It was a bit annoying at first, but hey, you learn how to spot it and sharks are more profitable anyway once you're done with the usual fishing trips.

To me, sea basses in New Leaf is just as frustrating as getting homework (which isn't that bad at all). Sea basses in the Gamecube version is just as frustrating as the whole animal moving mechanic in New leaf where they plot their houses in the wrong spots (which is very notorious). So after all, sea basses were way worse in the Gamecube version than they are now.

Well, only a little bit. I should know by now whats big and whats not. However if i'm trying to look for a fish the same size other than a Sea Bass then yes.

This is my first Animal Crossing game, so they're not annoying to me. I had more aggravation with the Pale Chub while trying to find a Neon Tetra.

I don't even fish anymore, but back when I would go and fish, most certainly they would pester me a lot. I'm sure that if I ever took fishing back up again I'd begin to hate it real fast.

I don't hate it as much as I used to in Wild World but it's still disappointing because you think "whoa, look at the size of this fish! It must be rare!" but then you catch it and it's just a sea bass. ;___;

I hated them in Wild World but here, they don't seem to spawn that often so it's cool. Catching them is like accidentally meeting the same stranger over and over again so it's like "You again?!" :p
