Does anyone play on the original (small) 3ds?

My friend got a 3DSXL and she used to own a regular 3DS which she uses to play Animal Crossing. She says that it's so weird to look at the regular screen lol

I have a regular 3DS and it strains my eyes a little bit to play for a long time because of the small screen, also it makes my hands feel cramped. But I don't want to spend the money on an XL.

I did...before it couldn't read Game Cards. It's a great system if you don't have large hands.

I used to have a 3ds, but when I bought the XL I couldn't go back to it. If I were you, I would get her a 3DS XL.

My brother has it and it looks fine to me. The battery life is worse, compared to the XL, but they are both terrible battery wise.

I played on it for a year and three-five months. It's not bad! You can still read, design, and do everything. The 3DS DOES make your hands sweaty though. But, it depends on the age.

I did for 3 years and I really liked it. I got the 3DS XL for Christmas and I love it.

I have the 3DS and it's fine, no complaints, but I'm planning on upgrading to the XL just because I find the bigger screens easier on the eyes.

I do because my XL fell apart.The XL and 2DS seem to be made of lesser quality materials than the original 3DS.I suppose Nintendo was trying to keep the cost of the newer units down so I'm hoping that the "New 3DS XL" is better in that regard.

My sister plays on a regular sized 3ds and it works for her. I've always played on the XL so going down to the 3ds is too small for me but it works! c:

I never got around to getting an XL, now with the new 3DS coming out, I feel like good things come to those who wait.

I have a normal sized one and I like it just fine, it's not at all too small to play things on.

Plus, while the larger screens on the XL are nice, I'm not sure it would fit into the pockets of any of my jeans. :/

I have small hands, so the 3DS would probably fit more comfortably in them. However, I only have the XL version, and I love it!

No, I think the normal 3ds is a fine size, it doesn't change the experience or anything. The XL fascinates me though because its soooo biiiig
