Does anyone play offline?

I played NL without doing online play and I don't think I missed out. And I think you could do NH without playing online and still have a great experience.

Certain aspects would be slower, such as collecting DIYs. If you time travel, that may not be as big of an issue. As for non native fruit, unless you really -want- to have all of the fruits, you would still make the same amount of bells for selling any non-native fruit. You can find one type on non-native fruit using NMT, so you'll be able to take some back to your island and plant it.

I do think it may be a good idea to quell your expectations and certainly don't compare your game with what you see from people online. However, I didn't do any kind of online activity for nearly a month into NH, and I was already very happy with how my island was turning out. I think you'll be fine if that's how you decide to play the game.

Thank you so much everyone for taking the time to reassure me about my current situation, at first I was kinda iffy about not being able to go online since I already am starting late but ultimately I decided that doing it on my pace without worrying about how to catch up as soon as possible would be the best approach I could take in this moment, so I'd be content on playing offline for a while, again thank you so much for giving such useful inputs as I go and start my journey in AC:NH AHAHAHAHA I'm already starting to play and started my date to March 20, yes I decided I will time travel so that I could experience the past events, but will only do so until I could catch up to the current date AHAHAHAHA

i play 95% probably offline... that 5% is just visiting my hubby's island. lief makes it so you can get the flowers you don't have access to, so once he starts coming you're good that way. the fruit is the main issue, make sure you plant the 3 your mom sends you, since they will be non-native, and when they fruit plant them again. this will give you a decent little start for making bells. save all bugs and fish worth 1K bells, stack them around your island until you get flick/cj/a house and sell them to them, as this will help with your bells as well. when you island hop, of course gather your sister fruit and plant those, for again more bells. when island hopping, you will make more bells separating flower stems from petals(some hybrid petals sell for higher as well once you grow them), and lief will pay you double for weeds when he shows. raising friendship with villagers, means when you gift them something, they will give you more bells for the items. it's a slow start but you can get everything paid off in short order and save up bells for the landscaping/house upgrades and if you do end up getting online... you'll be set for turnips and trades.
