Does anyone have Coco?

I guess I'll just fix my time back to normal and pretend my town's destruction never happened... T.T

I dunno how, but Lin made me feel better when I felt that small hope. Even though I can't get her, I guess I'll just try to pretend it never happened x.x

And I'll remember to put beautiful town ordinance next time I have to time travel :/ Only for getting Coco, though

Edit: Oh, and I'm missing smug (because Lionel left). So I feel that I'm going to get a smug character no matter what. Or some other thing that I'm not sure of, I have 2 crankies

Well now that you know the trick, it's still worth considering if a villager moves out later. It's a pain but there's some villagers I myself would reset a lot for, and I think it's worth it. The trick got me Whitney (who I love).

You can still use the trick to make sure a smug villager doesn't land in a bad place though, or avoid getting a smug villager you don't like. A bunch of my resets gave me a villager infront of where I wanted a bridge to be built, I can only imagine my horror if I hadn't reset and I was stuck with that for a long time.

Unfortunately Coco goes for way more than 1 million bells now because of her ranking in the popular villagers thread. I would advise you to lurk cycling threads and giveaway threads and try to save up as much as you can for her if you don't want to try the reset trick

Oh! About the reset trick. When you see a villager plot, read the name and google their personality type. That is the type that will move in. It will randomly select villagers OF THAT TYPE. I did this once, and kept getting random snooty villages only. Its actually how I got Ankha.

You could lurk the villager trading boards. And there are some cycle threads that give them away too, so you'll just have to keep your eyes peeled.

i'm pretty sure the way it works is your game tries to load in the personality type you have the LEAST of. so if you have every personality except smug, your next move-in is going to be a smug villager. that's how i got zell.

the thing is, the guides i read said that the game will only try to load one new personality type per day, so if say, a normal villager lays down a plot, it will ONLY load normal villagers. so i had no jocks and no normals, and i did the reset trick to see which type would move in next. it was a normal, so naturally i assumed a normal would be guaranteed, right? ... nope, because a few resets later, it was a jock. it alternated jock and normal over the next three days. it was a fricking nightmare.

i have no idea if that was just a freak occurrence.
