Snowflakes will appear even if it isn't snowing as long as you have a snowmama in your town.

Oh damn, really? I had no idea! I should go search for snowflakes since I just built one and it isn't snowing XD

I didn't know that either, until I saw one behind the trees. Sometimes you'll need to run a full lap across your town to find one which can be annoying though. But at least they are easy to see now without the snow covering the screen.

i set up a Snowmama and then started to snow, lol. It's not perfect though

When i can't find any for a while, i go down to the beach and find 2-3 there.
