Does anyone ever get overwelmed?

yes but as of rn my main goal is to obtain my dreamies before I focus on anything like landscaping or decorating my house, I dedicate some time each day to fishing/bug catching and if I see any stars ill dig them up along the way and the only thing I for sure do is check the stores to see what's in stock

All of my flowers have me so overwhelmed... I wish I could just pick em up like in new leaf :') I actively avoid some areas of my island because I dont want to deal with digging them all up...

I run a catalog shop. At first, it was overwhelming when a lot of players are turning up for orders especially the bulk ones. (Cataloging emphasises on order accuracy.) After I made some adjustments and restrictions, I feel much comfortable doing multiple trades at once.

Oh, flowers are the worst! They just keep multiplying and multiplying. I usually just cram them around the bottoms of my cliffs until I can figure out what to do with them. I'm out of room now but don't want to sell them in case I need them for hybrids. Or, some future idea.

It doesn't make it any better that my sister thinks it's hilarious to sprinkle seeds all over my island when she visits.

Yes, a lot. It was really bad when I had a lot of flowers and I was trying to get the regular diys stuff.

I stopped caring about certain aspects like picking up the weeds, branches, and getting materials and do it when I need to. Same with the tree shaking and flower watering. It's easier when you try to focus on only a few things that day and your daily chores.

When I first unlocked terraforming, I was greatly overwhelmed. But thanks to a burst of aha moments yesterday, I was finally able to finish the exterior of my island. Now I'm just left with the daily tasks of plucking weeds, collecting fallen branches, gifting villagers until they relinquish their pictures, tracking down the daily visitor, and diving for scallops.

For a brief moment I wanted to catalog every orderable item, but that has since passed.

If it gets too overwhelming try taking a break. There is no rush, no deadline. I took a break for weeks but it put me in a better mood for playing.

I know what you mean. I feel awkward when I have someone trading. So I spend three days straight making things look presentable. It was mostly fun but now I have to grind for Bells for bridges and such xP it never ends

I enjoy optimizing everything in my life (going through the university program that I did probably intensified this), so I definitely felt overwhelmed when I first started playing (I also just got into gaming this year). I think it's important to realize and internalize that the game isn't going anywhere, and at the end of the day, it's meant to bring pleasure and relaxation -- not additional stress or anxiety.

Making to-do lists has helped me feel like I'm accomplishing things every day -- big or small. I work in project management, so I personally get a lot of satisfaction from breaking down my goals in the game into projects, then further down into digestible daily or weekly tasks. :)

I get overwhelmed by flowers. Also not having my town look perfect makes me anxious. My favorite part is decorating so I'm not sure what my rush to that is!

I also have a group of 10 or so irl friends I play with, and it's some of their first times playing. We help each other fill up catalogs and diys, but some people need more help then others and that can overwhelm. I think I have been so desperate for community during shelter in place that I fret when no one asked me too.

Yeah I'm always tweaking little things on my island. When my flowers got to overwhelming I decided to just clean up a bit of them each day rather than all at once. It definitely made it a bit more manageable :)

Not really. Just playing the game at a relaxing pace helps me to get the most out of it. And since I don't play online because of the lack of online membership, I don't have to worry about trading and dealing with scammers.

I felt this recently when I was re-landscaping my island. I never got it to a place where I felt like I really enjoyed my space. It took me a long time to actually make spaces I really liked on my island, and I had to take breaks as it got a bit overwhelming at times. The biggest problem is that I have made a lot of hybrids, and had a huge garden that spanned half of my island. Moving that around was very time consuming, and my beaches are currently stuffed with hybrids now that I've rearranged. I don't want to sell them to Nook's, but there's not much demand for a lot of the hybrids I have so for now my beaches will be very cluttered haha. Taking breaks, even from things you like, can be good! It certainly helped me enjoy it more when I came back :)

I ended up just throwing out a lot of my extra flowers when I was cleaning up since I can always breed more :)

i'm overwhelmed now with terraforming + overall island design. i had a good thing going a few weeks ago, but now i don't really like it and i wanna try something else, but i don't even know where to start. to me this is the downfall of NH's amazing customization features - there's so many options that i end up doing nothing lol.
I just had a frustrating night with placing a single ramp where I needed it because apparently it would "disturb the traffic" of a nearby home or something. (It wouldn't have, this game lies to my face) So I ended up spending 2 hours working around that and terraforming my cliff and waterfall and it was such a slog and I was so frustrated by the end that I never want to terraform again lol.

Lol the amount of customization available at times can be so daunting. I still haven't done much with the upper part of my island because I don't have any idea where to start.

Sometimes! Then when I feel super overwhelmed I end up getting burnt out. I’ve just recently gotten back into ac again and instead of overthinking it I just take one day at a time.. aka my island’s still a mess and still overflowing with flowers x’D
