Does anyone else make up little backstories for their villagers?

Like I like to think that Lucky used to be a handyman before there was a work accident, so he stays home and recovers. (I based this off when Freya wanted me to fetch him to help replace a lightbulb.)

And that Midge likes to greet and interact with campers, so that's why she put her house right next to the camp ground.

Does anyone else do stuff like that? XD

Antonio likes to talk to me about his mom quite a bit and would sometimes even say that my house reminds him of his parent's house. With all of that said, my backstory is that Antonio's parents kicked him out since he was getting too old, but Antonio himself is still used to living with his parents. It also doesn't help that he actually moved into my town a day before his birthday. x)

I like to think Renee and Merengue are sisters, but Renee was the bad kid.... got involved with drugs and stuff, hence why she looks like she's seen some stuff. She turned her life around and lives in the town, and offers me life advice! which makes her extremely interesting in my eyes and makes me value her friendship with me....

Yeah, I had a couple of stories I made up about my villagers because it's a bit boring if I only describe them based on the traits of their personality types.

Yeah, I usually base it on stuff they told me about themselves. Rasher mentions he has a niece and that he used to live in the countryside so my backstory for him is he got tired of living on a farm, left it in charge of his sister, went to the big city but ran into some trouble (which account for his scars) and decided to go for an in-between, best-of-both-worlds place by moving to our peaceful town.

Well I always think that savannah their parents told her to find a town that it's dangerous in the place we're they leaving so the parents left her of the herd to be protected

She always tell me: I wonder how my herd doing ya"ll

So I think like that they left her so she won't get attacked because she smartest of their kind

vladimir was homeless for a very long time. he's overwhelmed by luxurious houses, so he decided to make his house like a construction site because that's what he's used to.

Every so often, Moose mails me one of the cherries he got from his grandma- that's how I was able to grow a cherry tree in Rosedale And when he asks for fruit, it's often a cherry, so I have this idea that his favorite fruit is cherries- his grandparents own a cherry orchard, and he has fond memories of visiting them when he was a little mouseling, and his grandma making cherry pie ^u^

Agent S is Marshal's older sister who took care of them because they're orphans (Think about it, where are all the other fully white squirrels at?? >_>
Francine and Chrissy are the Animal Crossing equivalent to popular idol groups (Perfume, Claris ect) and they leave town every now and then to go to an album signing of K.K Bubblegum.
Genji is lowkey a hardcore *cough*weeaboo*cough* otaku and claims he only likes shows like Naruto and Bleach but he buys a bunch of cutesy anime stuff whenever he can

Annalisa: Works at the Garden Shop, a gardener who has won several national competitions, lesbian & dating Merengue

Blanche: Ex-flight attendant who got fired because she was very insecure and it lead to a problem with alcoholism & she was always rude to the rest of the staff. Now works at Able Sisters, bicurious.

Fang: A struggling artists trying to cope with his schizophrenia, very reclusive because he's very sensitive about his art, demiromantic pansexual (also the mayor's platonic boyfriend)

Julian: Left his rural hometown to 'make it big' but refuses to acknowledge that he hasn't made it anywhere, works at Shampoodle, coming to terms with his sexuality but struggles with internalised homophobia. Is dating(?) Kid Cat.

Kid Cat: Plays football (soccer) for the national team but resides comfortably in Hell. Not 'out', since he only brings up his orientation when strictly necessary. Very straight-forward and seems a bit simple, but is actually very empathetic and wise. Has a ~mysterious past~ that nobody knows about. Is kind of dating Julian; it's not official.

Lucky: Aroace agender that is very in touch with its Egyptian roots, doesn't get mad ever, enjoys fishing, is the town puzzle. Possibly a deity, who knows.

Merengue: Demigirl hat likes baking, doesn't have a job because of her anxiety, so she gets by through barter with the other villagers, super sweet, dating Annalisa

I do that with my mayor and side characters, never thought to do that with villagers though. Seems fun!!
